My 26th Birthday Project: Day 2
There’s a calm in my spirit,
Through the tussle and turmoil,
It remains constant, unwavering, sure
Christians will say, “The peace that
Jesus gave dwells in me”
Odinaani will say, “I and my chi are
in agreement”
Some may choose to believe that I
have embraced the Buddhist way of life.
All true in each one’s way
So my friend,
when you see me smiling a lot, it is
a physical display of my peace
when you hear me laugh, that is the
gyration of my peace, loud and happy
Can you feel the warmth I radiate
when I embrace you, words aren’t spoken, and yet you understand that I’m sharing
my peace with you
Remember the taste of my gizdodo, the
way your tastebuds delighted in such a delicacy, that was an outpouring of my
peace in a meal, a joy to have and eat
And when you smell that whiff of
anguish clouding your senses, remember the soothing aroma of my peace is here
for you whenever you need it.
I am here and you are not alone.
